Bangkok, at your own pace

A Bangkok staycation with friends

Sometimes the hardest part of seeing friends is finding time that lasts longer than dinner. A staycation in Bangkok can give you an evening together and a morning without another journey across town. Keep the plan simple, then choose a home that works for everyone staying.

Make time together the plan

Start with what you miss doing together. It might be cooking, a long conversation over dinner or finishing a film without watching the time. Choose the dates with the people who will stay, agree on the sleeping arrangements and leave part of the visit unplanned. You can stay in Bangkok and still step away from your usual routine.

Let one meal anchor the day

At HAUS 924 in Ekkamai, the kitchen and dining table give a meal its own place in the day. Pick something easy to make together, or arrange your own food and sit down at the same table. The kitchen has cooking essentials and a Nespresso machine. Look through the kitchen photographs if particular equipment matters to your plan. A simple meal leaves time for conversation.

Leave room for doing very little

Move to the living room after the meal. Bring your own cards or a board game, choose a film, or let the conversation carry on. The home has a TV and a projector. If you want to watch something particular, check what you need to bring or connect before the stay. Someone can read or take a break while others spend time together. Being in the same house leaves room for both.

Look at where everyone will sleep

HAUS 924 has three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a king bed, Bedroom 2 a queen bed, and Bedroom 3 a king bed and a single bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. The home comfortably accommodates seven guests, with space for one additional child or a guest using the sofa bed at no extra charge. Discuss the full group and sleeping arrangement before booking. Stairs connect five floors and there is no lift. Bedroom 3 has a raised sleeping area and a low ceiling over part of the room, so look at the photographs together rather than choosing by guest count alone.

A birthday or a reunion

A birthday meal or a catch-up after a long time apart can be a reason to spend the night together. Keep plans to the people staying and respect the residential street around the house. Parties and loud voices are not allowed. If you are considering visitors or a particular arrangement for an occasion, contact the team before making plans and wait for confirmation. The house is offered for a stay, with shared meals and time at home, rather than as a venue for an event.

Keep the morning easy

A light local breakfast is included. It is a small meal of everyday Thai food, lighter than a full breakfast. Make a coffee, finish a conversation or leave time to pack without rushing. Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00, Bangkok time. There is free parking for one car, so work out how everyone will arrive before setting off.

Find a home that suits the group

Review the rooms, beds and access with everyone staying, then check the dates and price for your group. If you need the additional sleeping arrangement or have a question about the occasion, speak with the team before booking. You can keep the whole visit at home, or choose a café or meal in Ekkamai and leave time to come back together.
